Location
Los Angeles, CA is preferred, however, candidates outside these areas will also be considered. Those based in Los Angeles will have the opportunity to work from our beautiful Santa Monica office 3x per week, in coordination with team and business requirements.
Role Summary
The Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy & Growth will play a critical role in helping to develop and implement OneTeam Partners’ near-term and long-term strategic initiatives to further the commercial business interests of our Players’ Association partners. Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Strategy & Growth, this position will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across OneTeam’s business divisions including Games-Interactive-Experiences, Consumer Products, Sponsorship, Athlete and Partner Marketing and Content. This position will help expand OneTeam’s divisions into new key strategic categories and help establish new business segment verticals that leverage OneTeam’s core assets.
Key Responsibilities
• Partners collaboratively with the Corporate Strategy & Growth team to lead the development of long-term strategy and growth opportunities across OneTeam Partners
• Prepares comprehensive business plans for new growth initiatives, including new business opportunities and opportunistic enhancements to core business operations
• Develops comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses, including returns and sensitivities analyses
• Conducts research and analysis on key business segments and industries of interest for OneTeam’s strategic initiatives
• Helps source and pitch new strategic corporate-level commercial opportunities
• Creates internal presentations highlighting strategic rationale, key considerations, upside opportunities, potential risks, etc., to Business Leaders, Executives and Board of Directors
• Provides financial and strategic support in evaluating potential commercial partnerships, joint ventures, and/or minority investments for OneTeam
• Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
• BA/BS degree and 4+ years professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate strategy & business development
• MBA degree is preferred, but not required
• Strong interest and/or prior experience in sports, consumer products licensing, and/or media & entertainment industries is strongly preferred
• Superior quantitative skills, including strong facility with Microsoft Excel, and a sound understanding of finance and financial accounting
• Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to frame and communicate complex concepts and analyses in Microsoft PowerPoint
• High degree of professionalism and the ability to interact with senior management and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Experience working effectively both independently as well as part of a team
Compensation
Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 + bonus opportunity. Final title, level, and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. OneTeam Partners offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, supplemental benefits, wellness benefits, paid vacation, and a 401k plan. The above compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on Los Angeles, CA and current national data. Working Conditions
This role is primarily performed in a professional office or remote work environment, with occasional travel required for partner meetings, industry events, and internal strategy sessions. The position generally follows standard business hours (Monday through Friday); however, flexibility may be required to accommodate project deadlines, partner needs, or time-sensitive business initiatives. The role involves extended periods of computer use and regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners via email, video conferencing, and collaborative tools. Job duties require the ability to analyze data, prepare financial models and presentations, and participate in meetings and discussions related to strategic initiatives. Physical demands are minimal and typical of an office-based role, including sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials up to 15 pounds (e.g., laptops or presentation materials). The Senior Manager must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
