At American Express, we know that with the right backing, people and businesses have the power to progress in incredible ways. When you join #TeamAmex, you become part of a diverse community committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and differentiated value.

The GMNS B2B Product team plays a critical role in shaping and delivering American Express’ strategy for next-generation B2B payments. The team is building a two-sided ecosystem that connects buyers and suppliers across multiple payment rails, while unlocking new economic models and platform capabilities.

This role will be embedded within a high-priority B2B Shared Services initiative and will serve as the day-to-day operator for the program. You will drive the operating system that keeps three core product focus areas moving in lockstep: Supplier Directory, ACH+ Network, and Flexible Pricing / shared fee models. The Senior Analyst will own cross-workstream coordination, decision tracking, and delivery readiness—ensuring leaders have clear visibility to milestones, dependencies, risks, and asks.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Vice President- and Director-level leaders and requires strong analytical judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Strategy Integration & Analysis

• Integrate strategy across B2B Shared Services workstreams into a single, coherent plan leaders can run

• Surface dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs early; propose options and recommended paths forward

• Translate complex product, economic, and operational inputs into crisp points of view and implications

Executive Communications & Narrative

• Own executive-ready outputs for senior leadership forums (SteerCos, LT updates, decision memos)

• Maintain a single source of truth across workstreams (narrative, milestones, decisions, open questions)

• Turn complex concepts into decision-ready materials that drive alignment and action

Strategy & Operations (Program Execution)

• Run the Shared Services operating rhythm: agenda-setting, pre-wires, readouts, follow-ups, and action closure

• Build and maintain an integrated program plan (timelines, milestones, owners, dependencies, and critical path)

• Drive decision and issue management: log, triage, escalate, and resolve blockers with clear asks

• Ensure delivery readiness across the three focus areas by coordinating inputs across Product, Tech, Legal, Finance, and GTM

• Identify where teams are drifting; course-correct by tightening scope, sequencing, and accountability

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, product operations, program management, consulting, or a related role

• Strong analytical, synthesis, and written communication skills; able to translate ambiguity into clear plans

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive outcomes across complex, cross-functional efforts

• Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with high standards for quality and accountability

• Experience in payments, B2B platforms, or financial services

• Background in product strategy, operating model design, or program management

• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate effectively with senior leaders
