As Editorial Assistant, you will be responsible for curating and presenting sports content on Italian platform in order to maximizes fan engagement and content discoverability.
The role combines editorial creativity with operational precision to ensure that live and on-demand events, with a strong focus on Serie A and top tiering competitions. It sits at the intersection sport digital management and platform operations. You will craft headlines and descriptions, manages metadata, and monitors content performance to deliver a seamless and exciting user experience.
Given the live nature of sports broadcasting, the role requires flexibility across evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. This role will be a 15 month fixed term contract.

This role will be a 15 month Fixed Term Contract, and will work shifts across Monday - Sunday due to the nature of sports events.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Collaborate in order to enhance and maintain concise engaging copy that improves user experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams: planning, production, CRM, marketing.
• Write clear and engaging descriptions for live and on-demand sport events. Catchy headlines that reflect key narratives with Italian sports fans, ensuring consistency with DAZN's editorial voice and standards.
• Select and manage compelling imagery for events and homepage features, maximizing visual impact and driving user click-through and engagement across the platform.
• Ensure all metadata associated with live and on-demand content is accurate, minimizing errors that could affect content discoverability or user experience.
• Proactively monitor content playback and platform performance during live events, escalate technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted fan access, particularly during high-traffic moments such as Serie A matchdays.
• Manage homepage features and UI elements in real time to optimize content visibility and user engagement, responding swiftly to schedule changes, breaking news, or priority editorial decisions.
• Work closely with Editorial On Platform Lead and content teams to align on platform strategy, content curation priorities, and audience engagement initiatives.
• Operate effectively across non-standard working hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, adapting quickly to the nature of live sports broadcasting.
What You'll Bring:
• Experience with CMS platforms, metadata management, content tagging, basic platform performance monitoring tools.
• Editorial judgment
• Attention to detail, proactivity, ability to work under pressure, collaborative mindset.
• 1-2 years in digital editorial, online sports writing or content management
• Language skills -Italian (fluent), English (professional fluency)
• Deep knowledge of football, basketball, volleyball.
