Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Developer within DAZN's Technology Management team, DAZN is seeking a talented, The Node.JS & AWS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using Node.JS, API's and AWS technologies.

• Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS cloud solutions.

• Work with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and others.

• Build and maintain serverless applications and microservices-based architectures.

• Implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.

• Develop infrastructure-as-code templates using AWS tools like CloudFormation or CDK.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Design.

• Participate in the Agile/Scrum process—attend stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolutions.

• Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and industry best practices.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript from a backend perspective.

• Hands-on experience with key AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.

• Experience in serverless computing, microservices architecture, and containerization.

• Understanding of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.

• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in a Scrum environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
